Ultimate Hunt is teaming up with the Mount Saint Helens Creation Center and Glen’s Gizmos for a Mount Saint Helens summit education adventure weekend Friday October 16th through Saturday October 17th, 2020.

The adventure starts with arrival at camp (Climbers Bivouac trailhead) Friday morning. Feed you family lunch and then head off for the afternoon to learn how the volcanic history of the area supports creation science. Return to camp for some BBQ and fellowship and then off to bed for an early rise and shine, camp pack up and to be on the trail by 6:30 am.

Depending on climber ability the summit trip is expected to take a minimum of 7-12 hours. The climb itself is approximately 10-11 miles in total length with approximately 4600 Feet of elevation gain to the 8,365 foot crater rim summit.

There is overnight camping at the trail head. Climbers are required to bring all necessary gear and food except as otherwise listed.  In order to park at the USFS maintained trailhead, you will however need to purchase a NW Forest Pass.

Mt. Saint Helens is a non technical hike but does require strenuous levels of activity. Because of such, climbers should be in reasonable physical shape. Recommended minimum age is 12 years old. It should also be noted that weather often can inhibit hikers from the summit. Please note that there is no guarantee or obligation to fully summit the mountain given adverse conditions. This event happens rain or shine.

Cost is $65 per person which includes summit permit. Permits are required to climb the mountain above 4800 feet.
